Just as a wedding connects two people, the Korvai technique in a Kanjivaram connects the body of the sari and its contrasting border. The rich silver body is embellished with use of real gold and silver zari work. This interlocking of pure silk threads and pure silver jangla work, brings in a sense of lasting glimmer. After all, much like a happy marriage, a Kanjivaram lasts a lifetime.
