Rubies
Famously known as the “King of Gems”, Rubies are one of the most beautiful and precious gemstones that are found worldwide. Rubies can sometimes go higher in price than diamonds for their shape, colour and availability. These gemstones hold a lot of value in the market for their healing properties concerned with astrology as well.
Rubies belong to the corundum family. Deposits of rubies can be found extensively in Burma, China, India, Pakistan, Nepal and Thailand. Beside these countries, rubies can seldom be found in Afghanistan, Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, the USA, Vietnam, Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe.
The majority of rubies have imperfections that are formed naturally when the ruby is developing within the earth. These characteristics are commonly referred to as rutile needles or silk. These rutile needles are a distinguishing factor between natural and lab-created rubies.

Sapphire
Sapphires originated due to the presence of the metal Titanium in them. The purest form of sapphires are formed due to the transformation of corundum. When the igneous rocks are cooling down, large crystals are formed which ultimately give out gemstones. Sapphire is a product of that procedure. Since these are formed due to a natural procedure, no two sapphires will be alike.
Deposits of sapphires can be found extensively in Australia, China, Kashmir, Madagascar, Montana, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Natural sapphires are cut and polished into gemstones and worn in jewelry. Click here to check out our best Sapphire gemstone jewelry collections.
